What We Do

We are a small, architectural practice, dedicated to offering a flexible, personal service at competitive rates.  We become  personally and emotionally involved in every project, from inception to completion and will tailor the level of service to suit all requirements.

Many of the properties that we work on are listed buildings and we have a strong track record of successful negotiations with planners and Historic Environment Scotland.

All drawings are produced using CAD (Computer Aided Design) for speed, accuracy and clarity, helping you to visualise the end result, all the way through the project.

A significant percentage of our work is repeat business, from very happy clients.  We have a reputation for delivering what clients want – our solutions to client’s briefs are always creative, pragmatic and enhancing.

To compliment our client’s architectural changes, we work closely with Lindsay’s wife Rozie and her interior design business The Chair and Curtain Company.

Country Life Award
In March 2019 Lindsay Buchan Architects was named in the Country Life Top 30 Architects in Britain for the third year running. Speaking following the award, Lindsay Buchan, Principal of Lindsay Buchan Architects based in Edinburgh said: “I am delighted to have been successful again in this prestigious, UK publication’s annual ranking, for the third consecutive year. It means a lot to us and our clients, to have our work recognised at such a high level.”
