BLACKET PLACE

Our Client was returning from down south to his childhood home, a large category B listed villa in Edinburgh’s Blacket Conservation Area.

Despite being a substantial property the kitchen was very small and rather dark, our Clients wanted some connection with the garden and lots of light so we created a large zinc roofed extension in sandstone to house a new kitchen with dining and living areas, large sliding glass doors to the garden and two large rooflights to flood the space with light all year round and provide a spectacular view of what must be one of Edinburgh’s bigger gardens.
