SWANFIELD HOUSE

Our own home – a slightly shabby, very dated, 1970’s, single storey house.

It was almost fashionable again but not quite. It had to house a family of five with horses and my wife running her successful interior design business from home.

Three extensions and 60% of the internal spaces re-configured, produced a striking five-bedroom family home with stunning shared spaces, workroom and children’s sitting room.

There is a fabulous transparency to the property, the original design principals were followed along with some subtle adjustments to external finishes, total upgrading of services and insulation to exceed current requirements, all to create an amazing family home in an incredible setting.
